Image zoom/cropping

Postby kosborn » Mon Jan 14, 2013 2:10 pm

Hi,

I've set up a page for my client to add photos to
http://iconsafe.free.magicedit.com/main ... -detectors

Unfortunately, most photos look very funny as they zoom level means they are cropped. I have
cl_effects="zoom=233,140,1"

But how, like in HTML, can I make it so the entire picture is 140px tall, even if it means the width is less than 233px?

Thanks

There are a couple of ways of doing this. You can change the cl_effects to be something like:

Code: Select all
cl_effects="maxsize=233,140,1"

If you really don't care about the width, simply leave the first number off while retaining the comma:

Code: Select all
cl_effects="maxsize=,140,1"

If you are working with the image itself (rather than a link to the image) you can leave off the cl_effects entirely and just use the HTML height like so:

Code: Select all
<img magicedit me_name="myImage" src="path/to/myImage.jpg" height="140" />

This will allow the image to be any width but constrain the height to 140 pixels, and it's simpler than using the cl_effects.
