htaccess

Postby kosborn » Tue Nov 15, 2011 2:51 pm

Hi

I wanted to add a .htaccess file to redirect old page names to the new pages names... but I keep putting the file on the server via FTP and it seems to "disappear" -- is it being blocked? Automatically deleted? Or what?

If I can't put an .htaccess file, what is the solution for handling redirects from old URLs to new?

The file is there, the ftp server was hiding it because it begins with a dot. I've fixed the config on the server. The file contains a bunch of HTML though and isn't a proper .htaccess file.

If the page is a repeated page you can also add or change URLs by clicking the Edit URL link in the admin bar at the top of the page. http://www.magicedit.com/CustomURLs.cl
